Why eSQ & not DocuSign or ZohoSign

original question text – Why you and not docu sign or Zoho

DocuSign(DS), ZohoSign (ZS) have very complicated User experience and System. Plus they have very complicated systems to integrate with. But they do hv very large nad proven support teams. We have an advantage there. ESQ’s design, UserExperience is very simple. Our aim & claim is “Grandma Simple”. (Arguably??)

Plus we offer On-Premise model, No one ELSE does. i.e. We can deploy this within their servers, data centre (and yes their AWS or Ms Azure etc.). Banks, NBFCs, Telcos, Govts etc.

Pricing wise
– DocuSign (DS) – the starting plan, the least subscription plan per user, per month is $10 per user / month. Or $120 per user annually. Starter plan = $25 x 12 = $300 USD / yearly. And Pro features are 480 per user/yearly charged. Well, DS’s average price per document processing is about $2 = Rs 150, at large volume discounting. We can kill them with our pricing. They have additional pricing for Additional every signing party thats involved in the document. Plus charges for attachments or Reference documents. Addition for APIs access (every integration requires API usage). So upto $5 dollars a document, depending on how complex the use-case is. Even with 10-11% volume discounting, its the costliest offering on the planet, and why not they are market leaders. But, stealing CLIENTs from them ..in some areas might be easy. Coz we can HALF their clients budgets. Or even offer those client 75% compared to DS billing.
– ZS (ZohoSign) has a complicated per user pricing Also paid annually. Depending on features, it varies from -650 Rs x12 = 7800 Rs per user per year -to- 15,600 Rs per user, per year. There is another Over simplification – they charge atleast Rs 26 per document processing (single party or multi-party etc). Plus as the integration ( APIs connected to customer’s CRM, ERP, ) and user collaboration increases and complexity increases, the Price per document goes up.charges their (DS, ZS). Their First tiers as well as final-tiers are easily beaten.

Our starting plan, FREE plan (loss-lead plan) – offers MORE value than their Mid-size or PRO plans. Like a small company with 5 docs per month, 60 docs per year, 5 members in the company, reusing templates and all of those PRO features. We are very very price competitive. DS, Zoho are very costly for a real customer. A company with 100 users, with ZS will end up paying Rs 15k *100 = 15,00,000 INR, every year. Every automated, integrated DOC processing costs 30 Rs per doc, as an additional charge. And they are sold in 100-units packs.
With DS per doc pricing, for 10,000 documents a year Client the ticket size is $50,000 (with 10-11% discount). Infact DS works themselves on Ticket sizes larger than 1 million USD, and below are handled by their partners, tech partners ..which is another complication in pricing.

Important NOTES – Generally speaking – In india ZohoSign is the competition to think about and address. ZohoSign charges Rs 26 per document processing (single party or multi-party etc). Plus additional pricing for PRO features, Plus extras for usage of the integration ( APIs connected to customer’s CRM, ERP, ) and user collaboration increases and complexity increases, the Price per document goes up. Again- we can kill.

DocuSign deals with 100k-200k ticket size accounts as the minimum. In fact some insiders tell me DS wants ticket size to be at least Million Dollars. Their Affiliate program is not Active in India. And probably is shut down globally. And must use System integrators SIs in india for those ticket sizes (which is 100k-200k USD atleast).
(not present yet ) is extremely complicated

Why user based pricing? and What’s Corporate pricing?

Original question text was – Can you do away with user based pricing and make it corporate based

You must Check plans and features here, please.

We have
– Starter FREE plan. $0.
– Pro Plan, this is based on Per-user + Document volume.
– Enterprise plan or Pricing. = Custom pricing. The focus mainly is that it should be per document pricing. along with volume discounts. Larger the operation, scale, more number of documents are needed. So with large volumes we can have massive discounting. And even be “capped” price per year (for 1st 100 customer, big brands). Simple thinking is, the core value proposition is documents-eSigned Or Processed. Plus at some revenue point, we must provide unlimited users.

Yes – a buyer needs – FIXED cost predictability for their BUDGETs.

Just so we know
– industry / competition is charging additional for each dimension listed here – namely “User” and “number of eSigns” per doc and “Document Volume” and “Pro-Features” and “Integrated / API based usage” when client systems are connected with Doc eSigning.
– This kind of industry pricing – exists – so as to be able to charge – a micro company (with sole practitioners or a few employees), Small companies, Mid-size, Large and Extra large companies.

For us – The value we deliver is Doc-processing. The value businesses seek is the same. The real value proposition is “Your documents are getting eSigned”. Now who cares if 1 person is doing this or 100 employees are doing it (infact they would burn the volume faster) or its API integrated eCommerce systems or CRM or SalesForce or HR-systems are causing the doc-eSigning. So the value to focus on is Document Volume. And volume discounts & slabs and Capped pricing for a few.

So check the Question about differentiation, USP, Competitive advantage etc.
Pricing is well discussed there.

No data or effort loss, and you can resume everytime you are reconnected

What is the technology stack?

Original question text – What language/ technology is it based on?

The platform is built on modern technologies like Java, JSP, Angular, Redis, MySQL. Plus it’s dockerized, deploys for elastic scale, and obviously Highly Available, geographically and can become fault-tolerant at scale.

Documents are sent in emails, yes thats convenient? Are they on your server too? What if I misplaced an email ?

Original question Text – What if I lose my email and the document is e-signed, can I get it back from your server?

Yes, for a registered user – the documents are accessible forever. They are safely stored (encrypted) in your account. Login anytime from Mobile or a PC and access all your documents. eSigned or Drafts or Ongoing.

Do I need to save all the E-signed docs in my email box Or I can see & view them on your server?
